Life in Our Bags

The important things in life, like bags & what lives in 'em. Like our savings.

Pick your St. Patrick's Day Green Bag!

March 13, 2009

What we're attracted to this March for St. Patty holiday bags are purses that bring us back to the nature side of green. Whether it's the four-sided shape reminiscent of the leafed clover in the Tory Burch; a woven natural look meets a woodsy brown by Bottega Veneta; droplets like leaves for Coccinelle; or even a near-floral like droplet shape in the McQueen to a croc-reminiscent by Nine & Co. Other standout bags is our favorite in Prada's gemmed-up (emerald?) Tessuto Pietre clutch---the perfect size for the bling, to the largest clutch we've just plain seen by Lost, and then a big budding (no pun intended, or is it?) trend of the cross-body, this time meets the one-sided-strapped wristlet; so interesting and adorable by Fendi. We personally couldn't decide what to carry. So little St. Patrick's Day, so many bags!

The Mulberry 'Shimmy' Collection

March 09, 2009

The "Shimmy" Collection by Mulberry boasts a dog-like-tag in different shapes of neutral colors. The best is by far the quilted leather version. We've never seen such divinely patterned leather!

Louis Vuitton Monogram Roses Speedy 30

$1,310.00 by Louis Vuitton at eLuxury

I've seen the Speedy bag in person and it makes quite the impression but is also more wild than on a screen. I even wondered if it was authentic - but on that Boca lady, I guessed it was. Yes, I saw it carried, which is rare for such extravagant "couture" depending on where one lives. One thing's for sure, flowers are the IT for Spring, so now's as good a time as any to attempt to pull of this art/fashion.
